My Laptop is HP Pavilion Gaming laptop running Intel i5-10300H @2.5GHz and I currently have 8gb worth of Memory but want to increase. Accessing the cards is easy on this laptop and can swap them myself. (Is it as simple and taking old ones out and putting new ones in?)

But I'm worried I'll buy the wrong thing. The cards come in different sizes/lengths and I'm not clued up on DDR and the MHz.

I would also prefer to get them from CEX (2nd hand UK store) because I have vouchers.

I did Google but felt I was going round in circles.

Any help would be appreciated
