Was playing a game with adapter plugged in, when power out and now fps is very low

I bought an HP Victus 16 gaming laptop yesterday. Today i was playing a game of Valorant when suddenly the power went out. I had the battery charger plugged in and suddenly the fps dropped. Now the whole laptop fps is low. Please help .
