I have this laptop for about 4-5 months. I sent it to warranty for its poor WiFi connection and they changed its adapter and sent me again. Now same error occurs again with additional weird noise. So when it occurred for the second time I was playing CS GO with my friend in the same room. He was having 50-60 pings while I am having like 100-120 pings. Despite some lag I was still trying to play. But after that the ping began to jump to 400 ms sometimes even 600 ms. The jumps were temporary but still very annoying. Annoying to see my friend having much lesser and playable pings with his non-gaming low spec laptop in the same conditions (same WiFi and same distance to the router) while I am having all this problems with my gaming laptop for the second time. I was very annoyed but the pain was yet to be passed. After I close the game (I literally rage quitted) there was a weird noise coming from the fans. How did I understand where it is coming from? It was periodic and when fans speed up it was speeding up too. Now I cannot do anything other than writing here. Because I cannot send for another time to the warranty because in Turkey they are taking them to Istanbul and fixing them there and then sending them to your address. So I am not living near to Istanbul and I need my computer for everything in my university so I cannot send it. I want recommendations for both of the problems. The drivers are up to date. I have updated the HP Support app and checked. I cannot open the laptop because this is not opening without some proper tools and I don't have them. I also want to know that if we can change WiFi adapter inside with another without damaging warranty.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • What is the operating system?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
