Hi! @Hunter4, Welcome to HP forums!

I understand you are getting a black screen with error configuring gtk# for net 21226 on your PC.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any hardware or software changes on your PC?

As you mentioned you are getting a black screen with error configuring gtk# for net 21226 on your PC.

Gtk# for .Net 2.12.26 is a program developed by Xamarin, Inc. The software installer includes 69 files and is usually about 24.43 MB (25,612,288 bytes). - Read more at http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/Gtk-for-Net-92500-program.aspx

GTK# is installed with newer versions of Unity. It provides a visual designer for creating GTK# GUIs.
You don't need it if you don't use it.

Or, you can uninstall Gtk# for .Net from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall a Program.
Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
When you find the program Gtk# for .Net 2.12.26, click it, and then do one of the following:
Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall.
Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove Gtk# for .Net.
