HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0056wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The laptop is the hp pavillion gaming 15t and its the 15-cx0056wm. The trouble I'm having is what m.2 ssds are compatible with this computer? I tried this m.2 nvme ssd

but it didn't work. No other drives popped on the computer, only the 1tb one. The thing that confuses me is that in the manual for this laptop, it says that "128 GB PCIe, NVMe, TLC, M.2, solid-state drive + 1 TB (7200 rpm)" is a valid configuration but my m.2 nvme ssd from wd blue isn't showing up on the laptop.

That drive should have worked. If you were looking for it in Windows, did you go to Disk Management and initialize the drive?

 

Otherwise to install Windows, I would suggest you disconnect the HDD first, then install Windows. Reconnect the HDD after you verify everything works on the SSD first.

 

I recommend Crucial because they guarantee theirs to work on your money back.
