OMEN Laptop - 15-ek0009nw
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I am trying to locate some info what is the max capacity of SSD that I can install with this motherboard HP 878A  17.29.
Currently I have one stick 1TB. Can I exchange it to 2TB or should I add another 1TB?

Hi:

HP only offered drives up to 1 TB in the model series.

I don't know of any reason why a 2 TB NVMe SSD wouldn't work.

The crucial SSD report for your notebook indicates that they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB:

Note: Your notebook's M.2 SSD slots are PCIe Gen 3.0.

While a PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD will work, it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds.
