HP OMEN dc00029na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, currently i have a 8gb singular ram on my HP Omen gaming laptop (dc00029na) i want to upgrade it to 16gb and im not sure where i can find the compatible ram for this laptop so it would be nice if someone can help me find a 16gb ram for it.

I'm not exactly sure if this laptop can support more than 1 ram slot as i have not unscrewed the back of this laptop since i purchased it, so i would also like to know your thoughts whether i should get 2x8GB rams or just a single 16gb ram.

Thanks

You're very welcome.

Yes, you should be able to buy 1 x 8 GB chip from that list.

Since Crucial guarantees compatibility, the memory should work for you.

Hi:

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/hp-omen-15-dc0029na

It has two memory slots and each slot can take a 16 GB memory module.

Thanks Paul!

If i already have a 8gb ram on my laptop i would only need to buy an extra 8gb for my second slot so theres no need to buy 2x8gb rams or a singular 16gb right?

Also does it matter if my current 8gb ram on the laptop is a different brand from the one i buy on the crucial website and im assuming the speeds of the rams need to be the same?
