Uninstall the old Omen software and the HP System Event utility.
Reboot.
Update Windows to the newest version of Win 10 (or at least to Win10 ver:1909 if you can).
Then install these files...
- Omen installer driver... sp105943.exe
- Get OMEN Gaming Hub - Microsoft Store
- Get HP System Event Utility - Microsoft Store
- OMEN Command Center SDK Package sp110380.exe
Run Windows updates again, click the Check for Updates button even if it shows its up to date.
Reboot and run the Omen gaming hub (formerly Omen Command Center).

Overheating? Depends on what your idea of high temps are. Make sure the vents are cleaned out. Blow air into them to break any dust loose. If its really bad, you would have to take the laptop apart for a more thorough cleaning.
IF for example you are reaching into the 90s consistently while gaming and the game hub is not able to help, you might have to run a tool like Intel's XTU program and under-volt the CPU.

Dont download from within the Command Center.
Follow the instructions I gave above to uninstall and reinstall. If you do that, you shouldn't be getting anymore notice to update files in the command center hub.
