Windows thinks my standalone lav mic is a headphone and i have no way to change that.

I just bought this laptop and i have been having issues with using my mic. I use a sony ecm-lv1 lav mic,when i used this mic with my previous laptop I had an option to tell windows that i plugged in a mic or a headset through realtek audio console it was a feature called connector retasking, but with this new laptop i have no option to tell windows that i plugged in a mic or a headphone so it treats the mic like a headphone not allowing me to use the mic, i also don't have realtek audio console on this laptop even though my drivers are updated. please help i just want to use my mic. i tried the aux ports with different devices and it works, there's no issue with the aux port
