According to the service manual (on pages 33-34), your model comes with two M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs.

Maintenance and Service Guide

 

You can possibly keep the current boot drive and install a new M.2 NVMe SSD in the empty secondary slot for data storage.

 

Page 2 of the manual indicates your model supports NVMe gen 3x4 SSDs. You can install a gen4 NVMe, but it'll run at gen3 speeds.

 

Generally, M.2 NVMe SSDs have no capacity limit. You can install any size (1 TB, 2 TB or more).
