Hi @GovadaR,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re unable to find the latest compatible audio driver for Windows 11 24H2 for your laptop. Let’s go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

Check Windows Update

Open Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.

Windows often provides the latest drivers automatically.

If an update is available for the audio driver, install it and restart your laptop.

Use Device Manager to Update Driver

Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

Expand Sound, video and game controllers.

Right-click on your audio device (often listed as Realtek, Conexant, or Intel Smart Sound) and choose Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.

Follow the prompts to install any available updates.

Manually Install the Driver

Note down your laptop’s exact model number (found on the underside of the device or in Settings > About).

Visit the official audio chipset manufacturer’s site (e.g., Realtek, Intel, or AMD).

Download the latest Windows 11 64-bit driver compatible with version 24H2.

Run the installer and follow on-screen instructions, then restart the laptop.

Rollback or Reinstall the Driver

Go to Device Manager, right-click your audio device, and choose Properties > Driver.

If the issue began after a recent update, click Roll Back Driver.

If rollback isn’t available, select Uninstall device and restart the laptop—Windows will attempt to reinstall the correct driver automatically.

Check Audio Settings

Right-click the Speaker icon on the taskbar and choose Sound settings.

Ensure the correct output device (e.g., Realtek Speakers or Headphones) is selected.

Open Advanced sound settings > App volume and device preferences to confirm apps are using the right device.

Verify BIOS/UEFI Settings

Restart your laptop and enter BIOS/UEFI (usually by pressing Esc, F2, or Del during startup).

Look for any settings related to audio devices and ensure they’re enabled.

Save and exit BIOS, then test the sound.

Run Audio Troubleshooter

Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.

Run the Playing Audio troubleshooter to detect and fix common issues automatically.

I hope this helps.
