Hi @sinxcos
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL" Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error is often related to issues with the graphics card or the video drivers, particularly when the system is trying to manage video memory. Additionally, the screen flickering and freezing, along with the beeping sound during gaming, further indicate there might be a deeper issue related to the graphics hardware or drivers.
Here’s a detailed troubleshooting guide to resolve this issue:
1. Update Graphics Drivers
- The most common cause of video memory issues is outdated or corrupted graphics drivers. Update the GPU drivers to the latest version.
- Go to Device Manager by pressing Windows + X and selecting Device Manager.
- Expand the Display Adapters section.
- Right-click on your Graphics Card and select Update Driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If an update is found, install it and restart your system.
- Alternatively, you can go directly to the GPU manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and download the latest drivers.
2. Reinstall Graphics Drivers
If updating doesn’t work or the issue persists, a clean reinstall of the graphics drivers might help:
- Open Device Manager and uninstall the graphics card.
- After uninstallation, restart the laptop.
- Download and install the latest drivers from the official website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel, depending on your GPU).
A clean install ensures that no corrupt files are left behind.
3. Check for Overheating
Overheating can cause screen freezes, flickering, and BSODs during intensive tasks like gaming. Ensure your laptop’s cooling system is functioning properly.
- Clean the cooling vents with compressed air to remove dust.
- Use a laptop cooling pad to reduce temperature during gaming or high-performance use.
- Use tools like HWMonitor to check the temperature of your CPU and GPU to ensure they're not overheating.
