@yashraj9302, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fb0xxx shows “plugged in, charging” but the battery percentage isn’t increasing, here are some steps to help resolve the issue:
Basic Checks
- Ensure the power adapter is genuine HP and properly connected.
- Try a different wall outlet.
- Inspect the charging cable and port for damage or debris.
Battery Health Check
Use HP’s built-in diagnostics:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press Esc repeatedly during startup, then press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- Select Battery Test and run it.
- If the battery fails, note the failure ID.
Update BIOS and Drivers
Outdated BIOS or power drivers can cause charging issues.
- Visit the Official HP® Support and enter your exact model number.
- Download and install the latest BIOS, Chipset, and Power Management drivers.
Battery Driver Reset
- Open Device Manager (press Win + X, then choose Device Manager).
- Expand Batteries.
- Right-click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
Check Battery Settings
- Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery.
- Ensure Battery Saver is off.
- Check if any charging thresholds are set (some gaming laptops limit charging to preserve battery health).
HP Support Assistant
Install or open HP Support Assistant | HP® Support to run diagnostics and check for updates.
