Hi @Amreen2,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP 15.6 Inch Laptop PC's display. There could be several reasons why the display is not working. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check power and connections: Ensure that the laptop is receiving power and the battery is charged. If you're using an AC adapter, make sure it's properly connected to both the laptop and a functional power outlet.
- External display: Connect an external monitor or TV to the laptop to check if the issue is with the laptop's display or the graphics card. If the external display works fine, then the problem may lie with the laptop's internal display components.
- Adjust display settings: Press the appropriate function key (usually labeled "Fn") along with the key that has a screen symbol (usually F4, F5, F8, or F9) to cycle through the display modes. This action may enable the laptop's display if it's stuck in an incorrect mode.
- Brightness settings: Make sure the brightness of the display is turned up. Press the function key (usually labeled "Fn") along with the brightness increase key (usually F6 or F7) to adjust the brightness.
- Restart the laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve display issues. Try restarting your laptop and check if the display starts working again.
- Update graphics drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause display problems. Visit the HP support website and download the latest graphics drivers for your laptop model. Install the drivers and restart the laptop to see if it resolves the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
