Dear HP Support,
I am writing from Turkey regarding a critical issue with my HP Victus 16 laptop, which I sent to your authorized service center under warranty due to frequent unexpected shutdowns during high performance tasks (gaming, rendering, etc.).
According to the service report, the problem was related to the Hall effect sensor, and instead of providing a proper repair or replacement, the service team physically removed the sensor socket and sent the device back to me.
This is absolutely unacceptable. The original issue may seem resolved temporarily, but now the laptop does not enter sleep mode when the lid is closed, which is a basic and essential function for both safety and battery protection. This makes the device unsafe to carry and increases the risk of overheating and hardware damage.
Removing a hardware component to suppress a malfunction, rather than repairing or replacing it, is not a professional solution—it is irresponsible and dangerous.
I demand that my device be properly repaired, with the Hall effect sensor restored and functioning as intended. If this issue is not resolved correctly, I will proceed with filing an official complaint through the Turkish Consumer Arbitration Board and take all necessary legal actions.
This level of service from a global brand like HP is deeply disappointing.
Sincerely,
Emre Guzelbey
