Hello I.T. Experts,
My laptop is HP Pavilion g6-2248ca Notebook PC. I am planning to buy an external dock with a video card for high graphic gaming purposes. Please tell me what I need what kind of external graphic should I buy. Does my laptop has an express card slot to insert the express card? It says here in my specs that it has Multi-Format Digital Media Card Reader for Secure Digital cards & Multimedia cards and a video graphic with AMD Radeon HD 7420G Discrete-Class Graphics and up to 3053MB total graphics memory. What should I buy for high graphic gaming? There are 2 external docks included with express card and the other is for wifi integrated connection. If I choose without the express card, I have to remove the wifi hardware and replace with the cable connector to the external dock . Which external dock and what kind of graphic card should I buy? Please help. Hoping for decent reply. Thank you.

HP does not sell parts for external video on older machines. Your old machine does not have internal nor external port which is fast enough for eGPU. It has AMD Radeon HD 7420G Discrete-Class Graphics, that's all.
The card reader ( Multi-Format Digital Media Card Reader for Secure Digital cards & Multimedia cards) on your machine is for reading SD .. from digital cameras .... nothing to do with video card,
No other docks you can use to make tour machine runs better on garmes.
Regards.
