HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my installed memory is 8gb but usable memory is only 5.9 gb . The hardware reserved for mine is 2.1gb and for  other amd laptops it is less .why for hp it is more? this restricts me to use the full capacity of the ram.please tell me how to change the hardware reserved ram amount so that i can use the memory?i got the laptop with 1TB HDD but i added 256gbSSD . please resolve my query and state how to change the amount also.

The memory is shared with the gpu, and in the hp bios there is no function to select how much memory allocate to gpu so it takes >2Gb . We have to ask a bios update so we can choose the amount of memory! I think it will solve also virtualization bootloops problem!

That is a known issue which is related to AMD processors. Please check the following article:.

And from Microsoft PlayReady.
