i started pubg and the laptop heated up so i exited out of the game and restarted the laptop and then it got stuck at the omen logo screen

When you say it heated up, what was the temp when you shut it off (assuming you had an app open that displayed the temps)?

Did you let it cool down before restarting?

 

If it will still not startup up now, try holding down the power button until the laptop shuts off, then restart.

Windows Automatic Repair should start on restart. You might have to cycle it a couple of times until the auto repairs kicks in.

Does that help?

 

If not, run the UEFI Diagnostics and make sure there are no hardware issues reported.

Run the Extensive test for everything.

F2 on startup will access the Diagnostics.

If that does not report any failures, you might have to do an HP System Recovery. You can access the HP Recovery via F11 and startup. You will lose everything but hopefully you have any important data backed up onto another drive, right?
