Hp omen 15 power button stays on even after shutdown,I need to press that power button for 6-7 seconds to get power button off,I upgrading everything thing in hp support assistant so that this issue gets fixed,but it continues, this laptop is new one Hardly used for one month.

Splendid effort and fabulous description of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score.  You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 

 

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Have you recently made any software or hardware changes on the PC before the issue started?

Did it happen recently after a software or Windows update?

 

In the meantime, let's try these steps here: 

 

Perform a Hard reset on the notebook

Many startup errors and other problems can be resolved by decreasing the amount of power stored in hardware components. Decreasing stored power is sometimes referred to as a "Hard Reset". Use the following steps to perform a hard reset on a computer:

  1. If Windows is open, click Start and then Shutdown.

    If Windows is not open and the computer has power, press and hold the power button on the computer until the computer shuts off.

  2. With the power off, disconnect the power cord from the back of the computer.

  3. With the power off and the power cord disconnected, press the power button on the computer for 5 seconds. The power light indicator on or near the power button might turn on briefly but then go out.

  4. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the power.

Next thing, I would suggest here is to update the Bios and Chipset drivers on your PC from our HP support website, using this link.

 

If the issue persists, follow below steps and also try to disable fast startup by removing the checkmark.

 

Open Settings and select System.  Select Power and sleep, then click on Additional power settings - in the following window, click on 'Choose what the power button does' in the left-hand pane.

 

In the subsequent window, first, click on 'Change settings that are currently unavailable' ( near the top of the Window ) and then remove the checkmark from the box against 'Turn on fast start-up (recommended)'.  Click the Save Settings button, then close any open windows and restart the notebook.

Actually,I have noticed this issue after updating some softwares like HP 3D Driveguard software and Intel Chipset Installation and Utility Driver,but even after downloading and installng these softwares,notification keep on coming for these two  softwares as if I have not updated them.

As I see you have already tried all possible troubleshooting and unfortunately nothing has helped to resolve this issue. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

 

Could you check with different wall outlet or different adapter.

 

Alternatively, I would suggest you try to reinstall the battery drivers and run a test on the AC adapter.
