HP OMEN (HP 825B)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I'm using speedfan to look if my 2 fans runs at normal speed.

I won't tell you now what is my speed, cause maybe it's normal and I don't want to have biased answer.

So, at normal usage, what should I expect as the values of "fan1" and "fan2" rpm ?

If you have an HP OMEN or similar laptop, what is your fan1 and fan2 value ?

any luck to solve the fan problem

is it hardware fault or its designed to run like this??

my fan 2 never go above 300 rpm

and i cant feel warm air flowing from the left fan

did any one contact with hp support or try to repair the fan??

and by the way what is the temps of your cpu when playing heavy games??

mine 85-90 while playing bf4 and this is extremley hot.

I have the same issue..hp omen and so on..1st fan- 2180..2nd fan- 218..whats more..when testing with Burnin test..1st fan-3120..2nd fan- 118..it even drops..

When gaming(overwatch mostly) my chip temp is at 74-78 °C..which is quite normal when I look around the notebook gamers..so it leads me to sugestion, that it is ok/fine..BUT..the fan makes noise like hell..BECAUSE it is on its own..wich leads me to another suggestion..that this is NOT normal, and both fan should work at aprox. the same rpm to cool the chip down with less noise..both fan working at less rpm=less noise..

Dont tell me HP support, that this is normal and that the 2nd fan is there in case the 1st one dies off..because HP support told me, that if I can log in after the 90B fan error, it actualy means, that its ok..But is it? Really? No one gave me a direct answer or any explanation..so..? my suggestion is..put a coooling pad under the notebook, because its a good idea to use those anyway..

Hi @Pan_Da,

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.

I understand you are having issues with the fan speed on your HP Omen PC. Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Does this happen only while playing games or all through out the times?(Browsing, downloading)

We had been having a similar conversation under this thread (Click here), did you have any trouble finding the last post? if you did Click here to learn more about using the HP Forums 🙂

Did you look for any HP Articles to find your solution?

Here are a few details if you haven't:

Generally, when temperatures inside the case rise above 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit), the risk of damaging important internal components increases greatly

Click here for more details on heat-related queries.

Next thing, I would suggest here is to update the Bios, Chipset drivers as well as graphics card drivers from our HP support website, using this link.

Also, there are alternate options for cooling down the PC using alternative methods such as using a Cooling Pad,

Here's how a generic cooling pad look and I'm going out of my way to post this in here, just to help you out:

I hope this information helps, let me know how it goes for further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

Regards,
