@avinashkp77, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xd0000 (758R2AV) does support HP Fast Charge, which allows charging up to 50% in approximately 30–45 minutes when the laptop is powered off. However, there's no user-accessible toggle for enabling or disabling Fast Charge in Windows or BIOS on most HP laptops — it's automatic and controlled by the charging circuitry and firmware.
🟢 Here's what you should know:
Fast Charge works automatically when:
- You're using the original HP adapter (230W or similar).
- The battery is below a certain percentage (typically under 50%).
- The laptop is powered off or in sleep mode.
No visible setting in BIOS/HP software:
- HP doesn't usually provide a BIOS option to enable/disable Fast Charge.
- HP QuickDrop, Omen Gaming Hub, and HP Support Assistant don’t control this feature.
🔍 How to confirm Fast Charge is working:
- Shutdown your laptop completely (not just sleep).
- Plug in the original HP power adapter.
- Wait about 30 minutes and power it back on.
- Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery > Battery Usage to view battery percentage increase.
🛠️ Troubleshooting tips if it's not charging fast:
- Make sure you are using the OEM HP charger that came with your laptop.
- Avoid third-party or lower-wattage adapters.
- Ensure that battery health is okay (check via HP Support Assistant).
- Update your BIOS and chipset drivers from the HP support site.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
