@hioi7, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Your English is totally fine, and thanks for explaining the issue clearly! You're absolutely right: your HP Pavilion 15 with a GTX 1650 and i5-9300H should be able to handle games like Hell Let Loose much better, especially at low settings.

Force Games to Use the NVIDIA GPU

Right-click on Desktop > NVIDIA Control Panel

Go to Manage 3D Settings > Global Settings

Set Preferred Graphics Processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor

Under Program Settings, find your game (e.g., Hell Let Loose), and also set it to use the NVIDIA GPU

Also, go to Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings > and set the game to “High performance.”

Disable HP Power Control

If you have HP Command Center or HP CoolSense installed:

Open them and look for any settings related to “thermal management” or “performance modes”

Set it to Performance or Max Cooling.

If it continues to override your settings, try uninstalling HP CoolSense or HP Command Center (temporarily) to test.

Battery and Power Plan Tweaks

Go to Control Panel > Power Options

Select High Performance

Click “Change plan settings” > “Change advanced power settings”

Under Processor power management

Plugged in: Set Minimum and Maximum processor state to 100%

Under Graphics Settings:

Plugged in: Set to Maximum performance

Set System Cooling Policy (under Processor Power Management) to Active for both Battery and Plugged in.

Try Running Without ThrottleStop or Afterburner

Sometimes, these apps can conflict with HP’s BIOS or ACPI tables and cause odd behavior when charging. Run the game with those disabled just to test.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
