Hi @Arez1959,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP Victus 16 laptop shows BIOS version F15, while the HP Support page lists F16, but HP Support Assistant is not offering the update. Let’s go through the possible reasons and steps to resolve this:
1. HP Support Assistant Delay
HP Support Assistant doesn’t always show BIOS updates immediately, it can take weeks after release before they appear there.
The HP website always has the latest version first.
2. Verify Exact Model Number
On the support page, BIOS updates are model-specific.
Check your laptop’s exact product number (found under the laptop, or press Fn + Esc in Windows).
Make sure the BIOS F16 listed is for your exact model configuration. If not, HP Assistant won’t push it.
3. Update Manually
If the BIOS F16 is correct for your model, you can safely update it manually:
Download the BIOS update .exe from HP’s driver page.
Close all apps and ensure your laptop is plugged into AC power.
Run the installer → follow on-screen instructions → the system will restart and update BIOS automatically.
4. Check BIOS Settings
Restart → press Esc → F10 to enter BIOS.
Ensure BIOS Rollback Protection and Secure Boot don’t block updates.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
