Hey, I have the same problem and the solution for me was:

Go to bios, Sytsem Configuration, Boot Options!

Under Boot Options, Disable the Legacy Support!

Save and Reboot! And you have G-Sync!

Hi, I have the same problem with the Gsync.

I reinstalled the OS 2 times from scratch (Win 10 64bit), I disabled the Legacy Support from the Bios and I tried installing from the old Nvidia drivers (17-W209ns from HP ) to the latest ones; 385.12 (erasing them always with DDU) but nothing of this fixed this issue.

The OS is updated with the latest drivers and I set the graphics to hight performance from Nvicia panel.

Now I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it the G-Sync advertisement from HP is fake.

Ya, I'm sure if HP based their company on false advertising, they would have went out of business a long time ago.

When posting for help, you need to also include your full model number.

Is this a new purchase and was working this way out of the box??? Details help.

The fixes I have found for this particular issue are to clean install an updated driver or roll back. You have obviously done this aready.

Im on driver 382.05 and not having problems. 385.12 is a beta, so no guarantees.

Have you tried any of the previous drivers besides the beta and the original?

Beyond that:

If you have done all you say you have and the Nvidia settings are still missing, you will want to contact HP Support for direct help under a warranty issue (provided you are under warranty still?). There could possibly be something wrong with the card if its a new purchase.

I would also ask on the Nvidia forum since they might know more about specific issues with Nvidia drivers and the 1050 than we would here.

It's fake and it isn't 😉

Notice that they advertise G-Sync in "other features" and not actually on the Display/screen tab... I called more than one computer store and they tell me g-sync is only there because the Nvidia gpu does support g-sync when connecting an external monitor that has g-sync...😏

Some models actually do have g-sync to the display, some don't, and there is no way for us to know other then buying to find out, unless you can find on YouTube or forums someone with the exact same model and country as you.
