i have HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk2000 Laptop PC.
i recently asked for ram upgrade and i got the suggestion to upgrade from 8X1 to 8X1 and a16X1 because i can currently upgrade only 16 gb.
my current rams form factor is SODIMM
i wanted to ask which ram i should use.

If you don't plan on installing 32 GB of memory, just add another 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot so you have 16 GB running in dual channel mode.
If you plan on installing 2 x 16 GB of memory in the future, then I recommend you go with your original plan of installing a 16 GB and leaving the 8 GB chip until you decide to replace it.

If you only want to add a 16 GB memory chip, I recommend you use the Crucial memory.
That would be the closest type of memory chip to the 8 GB memory chip HP installed in your notebook.
The Kingston CL20 memory most likely will not work at all.
