@Daniel_13, welcome to the forum.
What are the letters that replace the XX in the model of your Omen? There are several models in the series. I need this information to give you an answer.

As long as there is not a BIOS limitation in place by HP, your laptop should safely support up to 16GB of DDR4 memory in each available slot. Most users will not require more than 16GB of memory, so the best recommendation will be a single kit of 2 x 8GB DDR4 clocking in at 2133 MHz. This will effectively double your RAM capacity.
You can skimp if you want and just buy a single 8GB SODIMM if you want, but manufacturer systems tend to be less tolerant of mis-matching RAM configurations. You can recoup some of the amout by buying the Kit and then selling your original configuration. I would also recommend that you frequently check retailer sites such as Newegg and Amazon. They are often running sales on memory kits so you should be able to find a good deal there.
*EDIT* I just read a manual that says most Omen laptops will only accept 8GB SODIMMS maximum. Looks like you're stuck at 16GB total buddy.
