Hi @Yehia_Abdelaziz,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Victus 15.6 Inch Gaming Laptop is freezing when plugged in despite having updated drivers and BIOS,
here are a few more things you can check or try:
Check Power Settings:
- Go to Settings > System > Power & sleep.
- Click on Additional power settings and ensure you’re using a High performance or Balanced plan.
- Check the Advanced power settings and ensure that settings like Processor power management are set appropriately.
Inspect the AC Adapter and Power Port:
- Ensure the AC adapter is functioning properly and providing stable power. Try using a different adapter if you have one available.
- Check the power port on your laptop for any signs of damage or loose connections.
Check for Overheating:
- Use a monitoring tool like HWMonitor or MSI Afterburner to check the temperature of your CPU and GPU.
- Ensure that the laptop’s cooling system is clean and functioning correctly.
Update or Roll Back the Graphics Driver:
- Sometimes, the latest driver can cause issues. Try rolling back the graphics driver to a previous version from Device Manager.
- Conversely, check for any beta drivers on the GPU manufacturer’s website that might address stability issues.
Perform a Clean Boot:
- To check if a startup program or service is causing the issue, perform a clean boot:
- Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
- In the System Configuration window, go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, and then click Disable all.
- Go to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager. Disable all startup items.
- Restart your laptop and see if the problem persists.
Check for Hardware Issues: HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures
- Run hardware diagnostics if your laptop has built-in tools.
Consider System Restore or Reset:
- If the problem started recently, you might want to perform a system restore to a point when the laptop was working fine.
- As a last resort, you can consider resetting Windows to its default state (ensure you back up important data first).
