low fps 4050

hi i have a hp victus 15 with a 4050 and an i5 13420h now i play games alot and i just got this laptop yesterday now i ran cs2 and valorant cs2 performs at 40 fps and valorant at 100 and i see others with way better fps and i think why is my laptop so bad can anybody help me or i might return it.

Did you check if your CPU/GPU temps are going above 90°C while playing? Use msi afteburner for real-time monitoring and let me know. What else have tried?

there low gpu usage when i play around 5% and cpu at 20%

That's likely due to fps drop. Do what I told you and make sure game running in dGPU.

i checked on msi afterburner the temps does not go over 90 and its running on dgpu with little to no usage i tried overwatch epic settings highest graphics just to get 60 fps and 40-50 % usage nothing wrong with the hardware just the usage is low and thats what i wanna fix because on cs2 i run horrible frames and little to no usage i have to put all on high settings on native resolution to get 40-50 % usage and 60 fps i just wanna get that fixed so i can play the games with good fps.

Open below image and apply settings shown there. It's from famous AMD Guide available on reddit. After completing play game and check

i cant find the whisper mode and a new driver came out so im gonna try downloading it and see if it has fixed my problem

getting 70-90 fps now in cs2 all high thats better im on 8 gb ram so it might be a ram bottleneck so i think it will get 100 when on 16 gb ram when i upgrade it soon

Yes, 8GB is major bottleneck. You must have 16GB dual channel ram for smoother experience. That's all. Bye . You can close this post by accepting the comment which helped you.
