Hi @AryanGames,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OMEN Vector Mouse is not connecting to your laptop, here are several steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Check the Mouse Battery: Since you mentioned the mouse has not been used for a few months, the first step is to ensure the battery is charged (if it's a wireless mouse). If it uses replaceable batteries, try with a new set.

Restart Your Laptop: Simple but often effective, restarting your laptop can resolve various hardware connectivity issues.

Check the USB Receiver: If your mouse uses a USB receiver, make sure it's properly plugged into your laptop. Try different USB ports to rule out the possibility of a faulty port.

Bluetooth Connectivity: If it's a Bluetooth mouse, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your laptop. Go to your laptop's Bluetooth settings and check if the mouse is detected. You may need to put your mouse in pairing mode again (refer to the mouse manual for specific instructions on how to do this).

Update or Reinstall Mouse Drivers:

  • Update Drivers: Go to the Device Manager (you can search for it in the Windows search bar), find your mouse under "Mice and other pointing devices," right-click on it, and select "Update driver." Follow the prompts to check for and install any driver updates.
  • Reinstall Drivers: In the Device Manager, right-click on your mouse and select "Uninstall device." Then, disconnect the mouse (or USB receiver) and reconnect it. Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers.

HP OMEN Software: If your mouse comes with dedicated software (such as HP OMEN Command Center), ensure it's installed and up-to-date. Sometimes, specific features or connectivity options require the proprietary software to be properly configured.

Try the Mouse on Another Computer: To determine if the issue is with the mouse or your laptop, try connecting the mouse to another computer. If it works on another computer, the issue likely lies with your laptop's settings or hardware.

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure your laptop is up to date with the latest Windows updates, as some updates may include fixes for peripheral connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
