Hi @Oguzhann,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how frustrating it is when your Victus laptop won’t turn on, especially when you rely on it for work or gaming. Let’s walk through a few steps to help diagnose and hopefully resolve the issue.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

1. Check for Signs of Power

  • Power light: Does the power button light up at all?
  • Charging light: Is the LED near the charging port blinking or solid?
  • Fan or keyboard lights: Any signs of life when pressing the power button?

If none of these are active, it may be a power delivery issue.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

This clears residual power and resets the hardware:

  • Disconnect the charger and all peripherals.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds.
  • Reconnect the charger and try powering on.

3. Try Charging Without the Battery (if removable)

If your model has a removable battery:

  • Remove the battery.
  • Plug in the charger and try turning it on.
  • If it powers on, the battery may be faulty.

If the battery is non-removable, skip this step.

4. Check for Blink Codes

If the power button or Caps Lock blinks, note the pattern:

  • Example: 3 long blinks, 2 short blinks
  • This can indicate a hardware error (RAM, CPU, BIOS, etc.)

Let me know if you see any blinking pattern I can help decode it.

5. Try External Display

If the laptop powers on but the screen stays black:

  • Connect it to an external monitor via HDMI
  • Check if the display works externally

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @Oguzhann,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Victus laptop powers on briefly—the power button light turns on and then off—but the device does not start fully. Let’s go through a few steps to diagnose and possibly resolve this.

Perform a Hard Reset

Disconnect the charger and all peripherals.

Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds to drain residual power.

Reconnect the charger and try turning on the laptop again.

Check Power Delivery

Make sure the charger is firmly connected and providing the correct voltage.

Try a different wall outlet or power adapter if available.

Test Without Battery (if removable)

If your model has a removable battery, remove it.

Connect the charger and attempt to power on.

If it turns on, the battery may need replacement.

Observe Blink Codes

If any LEDs blink (Power, Caps Lock), note the pattern.

Specific blink codes indicate hardware issues like RAM or BIOS errors.

Try an External Display

Connect the laptop to an external monitor via HDMI.

If the external display works, the laptop screen may be the issue.

I hope this helps.
