The myHP app has stopped working on my laptop. Ever since a few days ago, when I open the app, it does the initial loading animation but then just displays a black window. I can't interact with it at all. I have tried restarting my laptop multiple times, updating drivers, repairing and resetting the app, and even deleting and reinstalling the app, but the problem persists. I have enabled all permissions for the app (location, camera, microphone, and background app). This is a new laptop (only a few months old) and the app was working fine before. myHP is essential for changing my fan modes and more. I am using Windows 11 Version 24H2.

@justin202, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
1. Check for Windows Updates
Sometimes, small updates fix problems:
Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
Install any available updates and restart your laptop.
2. Update HP Drivers
Go to HP Support and enter your laptop model (HP Spectre x360 16-aa0000).
Download and install any available updates, especially for BIOS or thermal management.
Restart your laptop.
3. Reset the myHP App
Try resetting the app directly:
Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
Find myHP and click the three dots next to it.
Click Advanced Options > Reset.
4. Run the Windows Troubleshooter
Windows has a built-in tool to fix app problems:
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter and let it try to fix the issue.
5. Check Permissions
Double-check app permissions:
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > App Permissions.
Make sure myHP has permission to access what it needs (location, camera, etc.).
6. Reinstall the App
If the above doesn’t work, try reinstalling it again:
Uninstall myHP from Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
Go to the Microsoft Store, search for myHP, and reinstall it.
I hope this helps.
