OMEN by HP - 17-an100ca

hello everyone. This is my first post. So I got my Omen laptop back in 2019 I think it was. Well the lights for the RGB keyboard seem to be going out because the colors are a little off on them. For examble blue will be teal and white will be yellow. They are also pretty dim. Every so often they will be showing brighter. I think I only have 1 zone that is displaying correctly. So ya I was wondering if anyone knew the part number for my keyboard so that I can replace it. I was also wondering if I would be able to maybe upgrade it. It already has the nkro but I want to be able to do the effects with the lighting. Right now I can just change the colors each zone. I want it to be able to do like say the wave effect or the breathing effect. That kind of stuff. Thank you.

I have the omen 17-an100ca. The keyboard is

You have to replace part  # 931690-DB1 as shown on the following link

Unfortunately HP does not stock on its Parts Store, you can use part # to search elsewhere including eBay. Very hard to find actually !

I do not understand how they are going out though. From what I have read, they should last the life of the computer pretty much. Could it possibly be a driver issue or something even though I just recently did a reset and started fresh?

Physically I do not use keyboard of my HP Omen machine, I actually use external keyboards nearly 100% of all my notebooks. I think, depending on how often we use (any devices) they can break one way or the other sooner or later.
