Hi @kurapathiprem16,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering an issue with the HP OMEN Gaming Hub not working and receiving a VBS error, you can try the following steps to resolve the problem.

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix minor software glitches. Try restarting your HP OMEN laptop and see if the issue persists.

Update OMEN Gaming Hub: Make sure you have the latest version of the OMEN Gaming Hub installed on your laptop. Visit the official HP website or the Microsoft Store to download and install the latest updates.

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Windows updates can address compatibility issues and bugs. To check for updates, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub: If the issue persists, try uninstalling the OMEN Gaming Hub and then reinstalling it. To do this, follow these steps.

  • a. Press Windows + X and select "Apps and Features" or "Programs and Features."
  • b. Locate "OMEN Gaming Hub" in the list of installed programs, click on it, and select "Uninstall."
  • c. After uninstalling, restart your laptop.
  • d. Download the latest version of OMEN Gaming Hub from the official HP website or the Microsoft Store and install it.

Check for VBS (Virtualization-Based Security) Settings.

  • a. Press Windows + S to open the Windows Search bar.
  • b. Type "Windows Security" and click on it.
  • c. In the Windows Security app, go to "Device Security."
  • d. Check if Virtualization-Based Security is enabled. If it's disabled, you may encounter VBS-related errors. Try enabling it if your system supports it, and then restart your laptop.

Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can sometimes cause issues with gaming software. Visit the official HP website or the graphics card manufacturer's website to download and install the latest graphics drivers for your laptop.

Check for Antivirus or Firewall Interference: Sometimes, security software can interfere with gaming applications. Temporarily disable or whitelist the OMEN Gaming Hub in your antivirus or firewall settings to see if it resolves the issue.

Check Event Viewer for Error Details: If the VBS error persists, you can check the Windows Event Viewer for more details on the error. It might provide specific error codes or information that can help diagnose the issue.

  • a. Press Windows + X and select "Event Viewer."
  • b. In the Event Viewer, navigate to "Windows Logs" and look for "Application" or "System" logs. Check for any error messages related to the OMEN Gaming Hub.

Remember to back up important data before making significant changes to your system or reinstalling software.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
