overheating on hp omen 15

Hp omen 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

when  my laptop is idle it is always over 90*f and when gaming around 120 for the gpu and 150 for the cpu. most people when reviewing it said the cooling solution was really good. Should I try downloading updates or utilize the warranty? I purchased it at BestBuy on sale so maybe i could use their resources? It is the amd Ryzen 7 4800h with 8gs or memory and a 512 ssd if that helps at all.🤔

Honestly, 90°C is extremely high. I experienced the same problem as you have had and I disassembled my machine to re-apply thermal paste to the processors. As a result, the temperatures dropped to around 60°C. This is because most laptop processors are not applied with modern thermal pastes, which consequentially slows down the performance.
