I have this really weird issue,

I just installed a hard drive ,brand new, and even though its empty now ,there is nothing on it, and all my games, and everything else really, are on my ssd  I have seen performance issues while playing games like frame drops, the fps would go down from 120 to 90 in games like valorant ,but whenever I remove said hard drive everything goes back to normal and this happened before but I assumed its because the hard drive back then was used so I just threw it and saved up for a new one
