Hi @Sudip318,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing screen flickering issues with your Victus gaming laptop. Screen flickering can be caused by a variety of factors, including hardware and software problems. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.
-
Check for Loose Cables: Make sure that all the display cables are securely connected to the laptop and the monitor or screen. Loose cables can sometimes lead to flickering issues.
-
Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. You can usually download the latest drivers from the HP website or the manufacturer of your graphics card (NVIDIA or AMD).
-
Adjust Refresh Rate: Check your display settings and ensure that the refresh rate is set to the recommended value for your monitor. Setting a refresh rate that's too high for your monitor can lead to screen flickering.
-
Boot in Safe Mode: Restart your laptop in Safe Mode to see if the flickering persists. If it doesn't occur in Safe Mode, it may indicate a software-related problem.
-
Disable Hardware Acceleration: Some applications and web browsers use hardware acceleration, which can sometimes cause screen flickering. Try disabling hardware acceleration in those applications to see if it helps.
-
Run a System Scan: Perform a full system scan with your antivirus software to rule out malware or viruses that could be causing the issue.
-
Test on an External Monitor: Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV to see if the flickering issue persists on the external display. This can help determine whether the problem is with the laptop's screen or the GPU.
-
Check for Overheating: Overheating can cause various issues, including screen flickering. Make sure your laptop is running at a safe temperature. You can use monitoring software to check the temperature of your CPU and GPU.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
