Hello. On my newly purchased laptop, the sound is extremely scratchy and distorted. When I did the driver installation, it was fixed, but then it broke again. I keep experiencing the same thing. Since it is a new laptop, I think there is a problem with the drivers. I am waiting for your help.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting audio issues with your notebook, I am glad to assist you.

 

Update the Bios, chipset, and drivers using HP Support Assistant.

Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here

 

  • HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
  • Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  • Click Updates in the My notebook pane
  • Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  •  Updates list in HP Support Center
  • Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  • Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  • Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also, ensure Windows is up to date.

  • Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Very clever answer! I know everything you said and I did it. I came here because my problem was not solved. Leave the classic answers, solve my problem. All my drivers have the latest version. Sometimes it reverts to the old driver on its own. My computer is almost new to the market and it has a lot of problems. I regret that I bought it.Your HP support app is worthless,wretched. Updates are not visible even though there is an update.I find and install the latest version drivers myself.And the value you show to the forum is obvious. After 5 days, I could get a response from you. The answer you gave is classic, useless.
