Data Protector V 6.10
Microsoft Windows Server 2008

Hi all,

I'm looking to eradicate SMB v1 from our environment, and one of my servers still supporting it is our Cell Manager for Data Protector cell.  So, we're running this on MS Server 2008 x64 (so that we can still backup our few remaining MS Server 2000 and 2003 servers - looking to get rid of them also).

My questions are these:

==================

1.   Does HP Data Protector use SMB in backing up to Standard "File" type Media, and if so, can it use SMB v2 or SMB v3?

2.   Are there any known issues with Data Protector v. 6.10 on Server 2008 with SP2?

Thanks in advance,

Joe
