Does the HP S700 SSD have extremely high rates?

I have this HP ssd that just failed randomly just after a year. After looking at online reviews (then and now) I see that most of the reviews I saw back then have changed to 1 star with people complaining about their disks failing unexpectedly.

They do come with a 3 year warranty however where I live the store I bought it from only "provides" a 12 month warranty. So far hp has been completely unhelpful, saying take it to the store and the store clearly won't be helpful.

This is one of the main reasons so many brick and mortar stores are failing, as one of the few reasons I still buy at the store is for the ease of warranty if something goes wrong.
