Hi there

I have a 3730 printer and have gone through the steps to connect to instant ink.  The printer is claimed by the previous owner, I have this as a printer claim code.  I have gone through the next step of printing the printer information page and locating the printer IP address as per instructions on hp's help page.  When I put this IP address into web browser as instructed, I get all sorts of random stuff appear on the google page.  The instructions say to go onto web services.  I don't know how to locate this, any advice please?

I just want to delete the previous persons registration and re-register to me to get hp instant ink set up.

Fingers crossed someone can advise me please?

Thanks Keely

@KeelyC, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Read through the instructions below to claim the printer and enroll on Instant Ink-

Deskjet 3700 printers do not have an ePrint button. Retrieve your printer claim code by pressing the Information button  to print a page titled “Printer Information Page". This page shows the status of the wireless network connection. See the following instructions, depending on the status of the wireless network connection:

  • The printer is already connected to a wireless network:

    1. Press the Web Services button  and the Information button  at the same time to print instructions.

    2. If the printed page does not contain an ePrint address and printer claim code, follow the instructions on the printed page to enable Web Services. After you enable Web Services, a page titled "Congratulations" prints with the ePrint address and printer claim code.

  • The printer is not connected to a wireless network:

    1. Press and hold the Wireless button  for 3 seconds to print the Wireless Quick Start Guide.

    2. Follow instructions in the guide to connect the printer to your wireless network.
    3. Press the Web Services button  and the Information button  at the same time to print instructions. If the printed page does not contain an ePrint address and printer claim code, follow the instructions on the printed page to enable Web Services. After you enable Web Services, a page titled "Congratulations" prints with the ePrint address and printer claim code.

If the "Congratulations" page has only an ePrint address (no printer claim code), the printer was previously claimed to another HP Smart account (formerly HP Connected). Print the printer information sheet by pressing the Information button , and then locate the printer IP address on the printed page. Enter the printer IP address in a web browser and navigate to the "Web Services" section of the web page. Remove and then re-enable web services. A page titled “Congratulations” prints with your printer claim code.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
