3rd party cartridges ink blocked on hp8015e, I don’t believe I’m enrolled with instant ink as app is asking my to complete set up and I have never had cartridges delivered. 

however the ink shows the new cartridges are full but won’t let me print because they are “not compatible

Try these steps:

Verify Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that the cartridges you are trying to use are compatible with your HP printer model. You can find a list of compatible cartridges for your printer model here.

Check Protective Tape: Sometimes, cartridges have protective tape over the contacts which needs to be removed for the printer to recognize them. Make sure the tape is removed if applicable.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Clean the Cartridge and Printhead Contacts:

  • Remove the cartridge and gently clean the copper-colored contacts with a lint-free cloth.
  • Also, clean the contacts inside the printer carriage.

Replace with Original HP Cartridges: If issues persist, replacing the non-HP cartridges with genuine HP cartridges might be necessary to resolve the problem.

Printer Firmware Updates: Updating the printer firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues. You can check for updates in your printer settings or by visiting HP's support page.
