Welcome to the HP support, and congratulations on your new HP OfficeJet Pro 8138e🎉

HP Instant Ink is a subscription service that automatically delivers ink before you run out, based on the number of pages you print, not how much ink you use. It helps save money and ensures you're never caught without ink.

Your HP OfficeJet Pro 8138e printer is an HP+ printer, which includes 6 months of Instant Ink at no cost, but you need to activate the offer within 7 days of setting up the printer.

To activate:

  1. Set up your printer using the HP Smart app on your PC or mobile device.
  2. During setup, create or sign in to your HP account.
  3. When prompted, choose to enrol in Instant Ink.
  4. Select the plan that matches your needs — don’t worry, you won’t be charged for the first 6 months.
  5. Enter your shipping address so HP can send your ink cartridges.
     

🖋️ Ink will arrive by mail shortly, and billing will only begin after your 6-month free period ends — unless you cancel beforehand.
