I have a message to update payment method. When I go to my account there is no longer an active account. I cannot re set up the account with the printer as it will no print me a claim code. It has printed 20 sheets with same info telling me to update.
Virtual assistant had no category to assist me.
Can anyone please offer any advice ?
The printer has not been used or needed for a couple of months and has stood idle, it was also switched off from power supply for 2 weeks over Christmas.

It sounds like the contract has lapsed.
If that is the case, then true: you do not have an active subscription to Instant Ink.
Switching off the printer would have disconnected it from the service, of course.
Switching off the printer does not by itself terminate the contract - but it is possible there are other hidden consequences.

You have a couple of options
Wait here for an agent to find and respond to your plea - slower but usually works.
OR
Contact Instant Ink Support in your region and ask for help.
