I bought a used HP envy 6132e printer and i was not able to print anything due to this very bad application HP has come up with called HP smart app. Why couldn't they make this a reliable offline driver simple to use similar to other printers? I haven't been able to print anything for weeks now. i have bought a usb connector to the printer to connect to the laptop and the connection was made solid with that. now it's saying there's an account issue or cartridge issue. I had to throw away the previous instant ink cartridges as  it was not part of my subscription and I have installed just 1 Black cartridge. I asked the previous owner to remove the printer from his app and he has done so. He has also contacted HP and have asked to remove from HP records so I can use it. Can someone help me what to do? I have done all restarting and latest HP smart app and everything nothing works so dont need that advice. I tried resetting network and factory reset as well. nothing's working. Please help me sort this. this is indeed one of my worst financial mistakes buying this.

Welcome to the HP Community --

 

If I understand what you are saying, you have a second hand printer that was previously subscribed to the Instant Ink service.   The previous owner cancelled the Instant Ink contract.

 

HP Smart / HP App cannot help -- the application is not connected to -- and cannot remove a printer from -- Instant Ink. 

 

True -- HP Smart / HP App is best suited to a network environment.  The application, once the printer is ready to be used, will tolerate a Wi-Fi Direct (limited) network connection.

 

Regardless of whether I am describing the situation just right --

You will need the help of Instant Ink Support or an HP Community agent to complete the process to fully remove the last vestiges of the account from the printer. 

 

After the printer is fully removed from the previous account and a new set of HP ink cartridges are installed, it is important (if not already done) to reset the network on the printer so it can recognize your network.

When the printer is ready, HP Smart and other software or applications can connect and work with the printer.
