Please, help! I bought this HP DeskJet 2752e second hand. I have it turned on and connected to wifi. I also have a cable to connect my computer to the printer directly. The seller still has this printer connected to their HP account. I have reached out and asked them to disconnect it, but the seller is not willing to do that. She hasn't responded at all to my request. Is there any way I can go about getting it disconnected from their account and connected to mine or is this just $ down the toilet? Any help would be very appreciated.

Hi @itsmeagainmarg,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

If you're facing issues connecting your HP DeskJet 2752e printer to your network because it's associated with another account, you can follow these steps to try and resolve the problem:

Reset the Printer

Before proceeding, try resetting the printer to its default settings. Look for a reset button or instructions in the printer's manual on how to perform a reset. This will clear any previous account information and settings.

Install the HP Smart App

Install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer. This app is designed to help you set up and manage HP printers.

Connect to the Printer

Open the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer. Make sure your smartphone or computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want to connect your printer to

Claim the Printer

If the printer is still associated with another account, you might need to "claim" it. In the HP Smart app, there should be an option to claim a printer. Follow the steps provided in the app to claim ownership of the printer

If you're still unable to connect the printer to your network after following these steps, it's a good idea to contact HP customer support. They can assist you in resolving account-related issues and provide further guidance on connecting the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
