Hi @CLGunn1951,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP printer and Instant Ink page count concern. Let’s go through a few points to clarify how the program works and what to expect.

Check if there is a minimum page requirement
There is no minimum number of pages you must print each month on HP Instant Ink.
You are not required to use all the pages included in your plan.

Understand how monthly pages work
Each plan comes with a set number of pages per month.
If you print less, unused pages roll over to the next month (up to the rollover limit for your plan).

Know what counts as a page
Every printed page counts, including documents, photos, and copies.
Color and black-and-white pages are counted the same.

What happens if you print nothing
Printing zero pages in a month is allowed and does not affect your subscription.
Your plan remains active as long as the subscription is not canceled.

Review your plan and rollover status
You can check your current plan pages and rollover balance in your HP account.
This helps confirm you are not being charged for unused pages.

I hope this helps.

I've joined a plan. I chose a medium plan. But I still have printer message saying "cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink". Are you sending new cartridges? Or is there a code to begin printing?

Thanks
