When facing an error like UA_400_EB000U0405 during the registration of your HP printer to your account, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
 

Check Error Code Specifics:
 

  • Considering an error like UA_400_EB000U0405, ensure that the device with the HP app and the printer are on the same network.

Update the HP App:
 

  • Ensure your HP app is updated to the latest version, as it can fix setup or connection issues. Open an internet browser and go to 123.hp.com to find your printer's app and update it.

Prepare the Printer for Setup:
 

  • Check for any remaining packing materials in your printer. Open the cartridge access door and paper tray to remove any leftover materials.
     
  • Power off and then power on your printer.

Remove and Re-add the Printer in the HP App:
 

  • Make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer or with a USB cable.
     
  • Remove the printer from the HP app and then re-add it.

Perform Secure Erase or Restore All Factory Defaults:
 

  • Use the HP printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) to restore settings. This can often resolve setup and connectivity issues.
