Hi @Chcavez,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code UA_400_EB000U0422 typically indicates a connection issue during the setup process for your HP printer. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Check Network Connection
- Ensure that your printer and computer (or mobile device) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Restart your router to refresh the connection.
Printer Power Cycle
- Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 30 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Update Printer Firmware
- If your printer is connected to the internet, check if there are any firmware updates available for your model. You can usually find this option in the printer settings menu.
Use HP Smart App
- Download the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device if you haven't done so already.
- Open the app and follow the prompts to add your printer. The app can often simplify the setup process.
Check Printer Settings
- Ensure that any required services for printing (like Wi-Fi Direct or Bluetooth) are enabled on the printer.
- If your printer has a touchscreen, navigate to the settings to check the network status.
Firewall and Security Settings
- If you're using a firewall or security software on your computer, temporarily disable it to see if it’s blocking the printer connection.
Reinstall the Printer Driver
- Uninstall any existing printer drivers on your computer.
- Download the latest drivers from the HP Support website and reinstall them.
Factory Reset the Printer
- If none of the above steps work, you may want to reset your printer to factory settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
