I need some help adjusting my subscription. I want to keep using HP Instant Ink, but I no longer need the Instant Paper add-on and would prefer to supply my own paper.
When I check my account settings on the HP dashboard, the only option I can find is to cancel the Instant Ink service entirely, which I don't want to do. The automated virtual assistant wasn't able to point me in the right direction either.
What are the steps to cancel or opt out of just the paper plan while keeping the ink service active?
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Hi @Tuskaloosa
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand you'd like to continue using HP Instant Ink while stopping only the Instant Paper add-on service. The good news is that the paper plan is managed separately from the ink subscription and can be canceled without canceling Instant Ink.
To cancel the Instant Paper add-on while keeping Instant Ink active:
- Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account.
- Go to My Account or Account Settings.
- Look for the Paper Subscription, Paper Add-on, or Instant Paper section.
- Select Manage or Cancel Subscription for the paper service.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the cancellation. The Instant Ink subscription remains active.
If you do not see a Paper Add-on section in the dashboard, HP's Instant Paper documentation indicates that the paper service is a separate option attached to Instant Ink, and it can be changed, paused, or canceled independently.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
