Hi @DenisePoynter8,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you no longer want to use HP Instant Ink and are unable to print, it's likely because your printer still has Instant Ink cartridges installed, which stop working once the subscription is cancelled.

Here’s how to fix it and print without a subscription:

1. Cancel Your Instant Ink Subscription

  • Go to the HP Instant Ink Account Page and sign in.
  • Navigate to My Account > Plan Details.
  • Click Cancel Enrollment and follow the prompts.

2. Replace Instant Ink Cartridges

  • Important: Instant Ink cartridges are subscription-locked and will stop working after cancellation.
  • Purchase standard HP cartridges (not Instant Ink versions) that are compatible with your printer.
  • Remove the Instant Ink cartridges and install the new ones.

3. Restart Your Printer

  • After installing the new cartridges, restart your printer.
  • It should now print normally without requiring a subscription.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
